The Committee acted upon the request made at the last Board by the By-Laws Committee to develop an application and criteria for the granting of Honourary Memberships, Merit Awards and Recognition Awards.

While the committee was reviewing material for the request it noticed and wants to inform the By-Laws Committee that at present there is a cap of 30 Life members in CIU. The committee finds this number high.

With regards to Honourary Membership Criteria, the committee recommends adapting PSAC regulation 13 with adjustments as made: see attached

The committee also recommends that Merit and Recognition Awards be fused into one award and that the same PSAC regulation 13 be adapted with adjustments as made: see attached

The committee recommends for both Honourary Membership and Recognition/Merit Award that we utilise the CIU Life Membership Application modified to reflect the specific award intended.

This report is hereby respectfully submitted,
