Hello all,

It has been some months now since we accepted a new contract and finally most of the glitches are being ironed out. The vacation fiasco that occurred at some ports has been taken care of and most are getting their vacation when they wanted.

Some news will be coming out of Ottawa regarding the arming initiative and therefore encourage our members to keep checking our website. We believe these are positive regulations which CBSA now embraces, are a result of our union requesting that management look at other forces in how they deal with their directives.

Schedules are once again under attack by management, it seems no matter how much we give it is never enough. Your union will keep fighting for quality time away from the work place and more time at home.

Terry Sangster has been asked and has accepted to take some time out and look at all the work description in order to forge ahead with getting our CR’s upgraded. When asked, please extend your help to bring this effort to a fantastic conclusion, and that would be more money for our hard working CR’S.
